Step up on the block, bringing your big toes to touch heels slightly hanging over. Your inward thighs are supposed to be parallel to each other and the thigh bones should be squeezed to the heels. Lift your left foot off the ground as you simultaneously bring your right arm underneath your left thigh. When you’re steady, lift your left leg and cross your left ankle over your right. Come to Tadasana, cross your left ankle over your right knee and bend forward. It’s been emotional at times but physically, emotionally and mentally I feel I’ve come a long way in such a short time. If you are in need of a break, slowly come back to your feet to rest before trying again. Finally, with Francisco serving as a spotter, and in a pose where the person serving as base physically picks your feet up off the floor (did you see that one coming?), I was brought completely up off the ground.
If you have vertigo, this pose will likely be difficult. So, I thought i would give you my proof that breathwork helps.Three months into my LC journey a scan for a suspected PE revealed lung disease which will never get better and only worsen. Get the fire out so you can find your sattvic space. The poem you read out at the end was really lovely too. Looking out onto the water from our bedroom was so calming. Everything about the weekend was positive & beyond expectations and the chef Marie-Anne was such a positive addition to the weekend looking after us all with good grace. The food was amazing, many thanks to Marie-Anne. The food was superb! Had a challenging meeting today after our Fern session with Caroline. "I just wanted to say a huge thank you for running today’s session. "Just wanted to say a massive thanks for the course. "Just wanted to thank you so much for these wonderful classes, and for the regular RRR breathwork classes over the past year.
"Just wanted to say the menopause sisters talk was brilliant. "I want to say a huge thank you. "I want to say how much I love your classes. "I want to thank you so, so much for your breath and yoga classes the past weeks. "I have really benefitted from hearing you so often over the past few weeks in particular and have you on my shoulder as a comfort as well as a check in for my jaw! "The day was just right for me, I felt you held the space and it all flowed so well. You have an incredible knack of delivering just what my body needs on any given day - it is almost spooky at times! This "pillow" action offers support as you work toward lifting the toes off the ground. "Thank you so much for all your help and support during the Fern Programme. But thanks to the work I’ve been doing in the Fern programme over the last 6-7 weeks I’ve dealt with it differently today. I was just saying in our last session with Suzy that for me, the yoga/breath work has been the most influential part of the course and something I will continue going forwards. It was fantastic to have you back in school and I think many of the students really enjoyed the opportunity to relax and will hopefully retain some of the exercises to help them during the upcoming prelim period.
